Transformation

Can it be that to begin anew, we need to let go of what was? Can it be that to have a truly transformational experience, we need to relinquish the past? Can it be that humans have believed the body must die to be “born again”? Can it be to be filled with new inspiration and wisdom, we must relinquish old beliefs?

Several times in this life time, I have been guided to abruptly step away from the familiar. In the midst of great “success” and fulfillment, I have been called to leave a comfortable life of ease. This is another of those “life-changing” or transformative moments. Turning points are just that…..meant to undo everything to be made new again from within.

How much do I trust in the ever-renewing process of life? How much do I know I am always perfectly provided for by the Spirit of Life that lives in me? How willing am I to give up the familiar for the unknown, to live in the present moment? How open am I to listen within and follow the voice of Love and Peace and happiness in me?

I can see that my whole life has been a amazing opportunity to learn, to share, to help and to contribute. I observe that my greatest joy comes from learning from everything and everyone. I appreciate how rich each moment feels when I am fully respectful and grateful for every encounter. I celebrate the opportunity to renew my mind, body and Spirit with this moment now.

The way of the Tao is change….transformation, ebb and flow, contraction and expansion. Life is an eternal, ever changing process of natural letting go only to await what is to come. When I enjoy my own part as observer and fair witness, I can easily see it all as gift. When I judge I have erred or inter-feared with my thoughts, words or actions, I worry and withhold.

The work appears to be to Let Go and Let Good Be What It Is. Peace comes from trusting and freeing the process of transformation. True Joy shines through the innocent wonder and curiosity of waiting with expectancy. Love lives in my heart when I remember….I Am That Love.

I have been through turning points in my life--times in which I overcame fear, changed my way of thinking, or found inner reserves of courage and strength. As I look back on these times, I realize I was never alone; God was with me as a guiding hand, a comforting presence and a strengthening power. This gives me comfort and peace. I give thanks for the turning points in my life, for through them, I have emerged stronger and wiser. I have been blessed with new ideas and attitudes, new ways of seeing the world around me and the people in it. What a blessing to know that God is with me in these moments and in every moment of my life! You have stripped off the old self with its practices and have clothed yourselves with the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge according to the image of its creator.--Colossians 3:9-10
