Who do you follow? What do you admire? Who is showing you the way? What do you give your time, money and attention to?

Are you letting your body lead you? Do you let your body tell you what to do and where to go? Is your body teaching you to worry and be afraid? Is your body guiding your to eat well and be happy?

Are experts telling you what to do? Do you read the self help and healing books? Are you eating what others sell as good for you? Do you think they are right about what is true for you?

Is the world of money leading you? Do you follow those who make money or lose money? Do you listen to practical advice or “Dare to dream big.” Are you hoping to get rich quickly or easily?

Do you follow the movie stars or sports stars or famous people? Do you admire those who are beautiful, thin, wealthy or powerful? Are you spending energy on the ones who get in trouble or do good? Are you fascinated with how people think and act and what they say?

What we perceive in others, we strengthen in ourselves. What we feed with our attention grows. Whom we admire, sets the tone of our life choices. The stuff we believe (ingest), becomes who we are.

Making wise choices for ourselves must include choosing our leaders wisely. Making wise choices in our best interest must include knowing what we want. Making the best choices for our good, requites knowing what is good for us. Making someone our role model needs for us to know who they are and what we want to be.

Much attention seems to be given those who are making public mistakes. Media shows us the best and the worst, but rarely the inside story. Those who make money, gain power and fame are rarely the best examples of humanity. Consider who, other than those in the media, might be the best example for your life.

Ancestors, someone in history, those who serve others, heroes, volunteers, all are good to admire. Jesus, Buddha, Gandhi, Mother Teresa, Martin Luther King, Lincoln, or You? Look for those who have the qualities you want to nurture in yourself. Look to those who lives exemplify what you would admire in yourself.

Our work is to choose to be the best we can be. Our healing is to forgive our mistaken choices. Our service is to respect those who are follow us. Our fulfillment comes from appreciating ourselves.

Remember: We are all leading, teaching and healing others with our thoughts, words and deeds. Let us choose wisely.

If Children (and Adults) Live With……….

If children live with criticism, they learn to condemn. If children live with hostility, they learn to fight. If children live with fear, they learn to be apprehensive. If children live with pity, they learn to feel sorry for themselves. If children live with ridicule, they learn to feel shy. If children live with jealousy, they learn to feel envy. If children live with: criticism, hostility, fear, pity, ridicule or jealousy, They will learn to: condemn, fight, be apprehensive, feel sorry for themselves, feel shy and feel envy.

If children live with encouragement, they learn confidence. If children live with tolerance, they learn patience. If children live with praise, they learn appreciation. If children live with acceptance, they learn to love. If children live with approval, they learn to like themselves. If children live with recognition, they learn it is good to have a goal. If children live with sharing, they learn generosity. If children live with honesty, they learn truthfulness. If children live with fairness, they learn justice. If children live with kindness and consideration, they learn respect. If children live with security, they learn to have faith in themselves and others. If children live with friendliness, they learn the world is a nice place in which to live.
